Senior guard Ashley James put on a spectacular performance with 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting with seven rebounds, six assists and no turnovers as he picked up MVP honors at the VaPreps Classic for a third consecutive year. Sophomore Jacob Cooper had 10 assists with only one turnover and six steals, while Bruce Griffin and Adrick Gill scored 10 points apiece off the bench.

For Woodside in the loss, junior 6-foot-6 forward Mikell Boyd posted a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Another junior, guard Khaleef Jimmison, contributed 10 points.
