VaPreps Class of 2011 Hoops Prospects: Last Look
Matthew Hatfield

The 2011 basketball class in Virginia didn't initially begin as a strong

class, but it emerged late with some nationally recognized prospects with the
likes of Norfolk Christian's James McAdoo (North Carolina), Norcom's Dorian
Finney-Smith (Virginia Tech) and even on the girls side of things, Princess
Anne's Elizabeth Williams (Duke) earned attention nationwide.
To go with the star power at the top and future ACC talent, there's pretty
respectable depth, especially at the point guard position with some late
bloomers that were mid-low Division I with Phoebus' Breon Key (Old Dominion) and
Brian Darden (Radford), Highland Springs' Jarvis Threatt (Delaware), Maury's
Sim
Frazier (Howard), Herndon's Austin Hamilton (Elon) and Nansemond River's
Ashton
Moore (Citadel).
