Ronnie Spears of The Steward School

was featured recently in the Richmond Times Dispatch.   Spears

and the Steward Spartans are currently 15 - 1, and ranked first in the Virginia

Independent Schools Division III State Poll.  Steward will host the #2

ranked team, Amelia Academy on Saturday, February 1st.

Amelia Academy is 10 - 2, and features division I signees Wil Fameni (Arizona

St.) and Jesus Urbina (George Mason).  The rematch will be one week later

at Amelia on Friday, February 7th.  Both games will begin at 7:30 PM. 

Spears is a 6'3" left-handed

wing guard who can play all positions.  He has a 1070 SAT score, and a 2.8

GPA in a challenging college prep curriculum at The Steward School in Richmond,

Virginia.  In addition to division 1 attention from William and Mary, ODU,

Campbell, Lafayette, Coastal Carolina, and others, division III powers

Randolph-Macon, Hampen-Sydney, and Williams College are options.
