Hampton, VA – Despite senior guard Jonathan Vincent’s 28 points Lake Taylor Titans once again falls short to Landstown Eagles 82-80 in the championship game of the Bethel/Hampton Christmas Classic held at Bethel High School.

Leading the Eagles (9-2) was Michael Anderson, who scored 20 points including 4 tremendous dunks and ripped down 8 rebounds. Anderson was help by Stanley Pringle 17 points, Ruell Pringle 14 points, and Theo Baker 12 points. Baker sealed the victory with a game winning drive to the basket with 12 seconds left in the game.
The Titans (7-2) got great play from Lateek Baker, who had a season high 16 points and ripped down 13 rebounds. Senior Jason Davis added another 13 rebounds in the cause and had 3 assists. David Jefferson and Earl Joyce both scored 8 points, while Cenika Turner chipped in 9 points off the bench.
The Titans will take a break for the rest of the week and will not play again until January 6 at I.C. Norcom.
