All-Vapreps 2018 Private Offense

Here we present the All-Vapreps Private 2018 Offense. The selections where made primarily from our coverage of the Private school teams during the 2018 season. We also used stats and input from the coaches.

Quarterback

Quarterback Miles Thompson finished his career by helping Flint Hill to their 2nd straight undefeated season and 2nd straight VISAA DI state championship. He passed for 1224 yards with 20 touchdowns while adding 496 yards rushing with 10 touchdowns on the ground. Thompson will attend Penn to play football.

Running Back

Jordan Houston is headed to Maryland after winning a 2nd straight State championship. Houston led the Huskies with 1582 wards with 20 touchdowns. He added 127 yards receiving with two touchdown receptions.

Juanell Walker finished the season with 924 yards while averaging 5.7 yards a carries. Walker scored 11 touchdowns and he had his best game when I went to see the Maroon against Collegiate. Walker gained 198 yards with three tackle-breaking touchdowns to lead Episcopal to a win.

Fredericksburg Christian senior Cannon Zylonis transferred from King George High School and helped the Eagles to a VISAA DII State title. Zylonis rushed for 1258 yards with 20 touchdowns in the Eagles Wing-T attack. He had 100+ yard efforts in both playoff wins.


Receiver

Woodberry Forest Dequence Carter was limited to only six games but he ended his senior season with 58 receptions for 1067 yards and 11 touchdowns. Carter will take his talents to Fordham.

Nansemond Suffolk senior receiver Zac Morris hauled in 48 receptions for 915 yards and 19 touchdowns. He had four games with 139+ passing yards.

North Cross junior Zae Baines had 42 receptions for 767 yards and 13 touchdowns despite being the focus of the North Cross offense. Baines also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns. He has multiple D1 offers including Virginia and Purdue.


Tight End

Rivals 3-star Kyle Bilodeau earned All-Vapreps Private after making 34 receptions for 455 yards and three touchdowns for Woodberry Forest. He also helped out in the Tigers rushing attack. Bilodeau will play for Purdue University next year.

Lineman

Episcopal lineman Taylor Burns (6-foot-3, 305) was a 1st team All-IAC selection and he helped Episcopal to a winning record. Burns is a physical lineman who seeks contact.

Bishop Sullivan junior Altrique Barlow (6-foot-4, 300) has offers from Georgia, Virginia Tech, and Auburn among others.

Bonae Swain-Price was the anchor of the Flint Hill offensive line with his blocking and leadership. He helped an offense that averaged 45 points a game and a 2nd State championship.

Blue Ridge lineman Myles Ham has a combination of size, speed and agility to recently picked up offers from West Virginia State and Franklin Pierce University.

Junior Colin Hagy was simply dominant on the Celtics offensive live. A load at (6-foot-3, 335) Hagy helped Roanoke Catholic to a 3-peat VISAA DIII State championships.

Senior Jack Murphy has played at a high level on offense and defense during his time at Bishop O Connell. He helped the Knights to a conference championship game and a playoff upset of top seed Paul VI.
