Single A Farm Bureau Player of the Week
This
weeks Single A Farm Bureau Player of the Week was tough. Week in and week
out the nominees put up amazing numbers that make each worthy of such an honor.
This week that honor goes to Lamar Stewart of Essex. Lamar was a
one man army against Lancaster on Friday night running the ball for 307 yards.
If running for 307 yards is not impressive enough, Lamar scored 6 out of the 8
touchdowns Essex scored against Lancaster to win 56-35. Congratulations to
Lamar Stewart, you are this weeks Single A Farm Bureau Player of the Week.
Other Nominees...
Marcus Temple - Running Back - King William, 189 yards on 12 carries and 3
touchdowns in just 3 quarters of play.
Josh Kibler - Running Back - Strasburg, 201 yards on 26 carries and 3 touchdowns
and 1 pass reception for a 23 yard touchdown.
Grecovea Washington - Running Back - King William, 136 yards rushing with 3
touchdowns.
Double A Farm Bureau Player of the Week
Every
week we see a deserving player take home the honor of Player of the Week.
Each week it is a name that is no stranger to the nomination process who finally
puts it all together. This week we find that similar path being taken by Deric
Dudinski of Park View. I cannot remember the number of times that
Deric has been nominated as Double A Farm Bureau Player of the Week.
This past Friday night Deric rushed for 319 yards on 23 carries and 4
touchdowns. For the season he has over 1600 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Deric has also broken the Park View career rushing mark with over 5000 yards.
Congratulations to Deric Dudinski, you are this weeks Double A Farm Bureau
Player of the Week.

Alex Owah - Running Back - Harrisonburg, 172 yards on 14 carries and 3
touchdowns.
Ed Hamlin - Running Back - Smithfield, 155 yards including an 85 yard touchdown
run and also had a gave saving 4th down stop late in the 4th quarter against
Poquoson.
Justin McCracken - Quarterback - Richlands, 9 out of 13 passing for 196 yards
and 3 touchdowns. On the ground Justin had one rushing touchdown and 31
yards.
Cordae William - Fullback - Harrisonburg, 97 yards on 9 carries.
Phillip Thaxton - Running Back - Grafton, 457 combined yards, 156 yards on 4
kickoff returns, 257 yards on 36 carries and 3 pass receptions for 44 yards for
a total of 7 touchdowns.
Taron Hampton - Running Back - Powhatan, 252 yards on 30 carries and 5
touchdowns.
Cameron Gray - Quarterback - Prince Edward, 18 of 35 passing for 409 yards and 4
touchdowns. Ruished for 51 yards and a touchdown as well.
Javon Lockett - Tight End - Prince Edward, 9 pass receptions for 260 yards and 2
touchdowns.
Devontae Atkins - Quarterback - James Monroe, 14 carries for 97 yards and 2
rushing touchdowns and 8 of 15 passing for 164 yards and a touchdown.
Stephen Meadows - Linebacker - James Monroe, 13 tackles and 8 assists, 5 tackles
were for a loss.
Victor Hairston - Running Back - Martinsville, 24 carries for 212 yards on
touchdown runs of 2, 17, 12, 13, 3 & 35 yards.
Matt Mares - Punter - Lafayette, Blocked a punt and recovered for a touchdown
and two punts inside the 10, yard line.
Triple A Farm Bureau Player of the Week
This
weeks Triple A Farm Bureau Player of the Week is not your typical player of the
week. This weeks honor goes to backup quarterback David Williams of
Thomas Dale who is getting done on both sides. In his first start he
had 8 rushes for 38 yards and a touchdown. Passing wise he was 4 of 5 for
110 yards and a touchdown. On defense he had 8 tackles and 1 interception.
While those stats are not attention grabbers, to do so as a backup is amazing
and gives Thomas Dale something to look forward to next season.
Congratulations David Williams, you are this weeks Triple A Farm Bureau Player
of the Week.

George McInnis - Running Back - Lake Taylor, 27 carries for 243 yards and 2
touchdowns as well 2 point conversion also 4 tackles and a fumble return for a
touchdown.
Deantwan "Rocket" Williams - Running Back - Woodbridge, 15 carries for
165 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Malcom Piggot - Linebacker - Thomas Dale, 8 solo tackles and 16 assisted tackles
for a total of 24 tackles and also 2 hurries and a sack.
Kevin Whaley - Running Back - Salem, 32 carries for 196 yards and 3 touchdowns
and also 3 solo tackles and 1assisted tackle.
Lyndell Gibson - Defense - Salem, 2.5 sacks, 2 tackles for a loss and 2 hurries.
Jamel Conley - Defense - Salem, 3 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 1
interception return for a 33 yard touchdown.
Ryan Williams - Running Back - Stonewall Jackson, 4 touchdowns.
Torey Biero - Tailback - McClean, Touchdown runs of 3, 4 and 2 yards before
halftime and 49 and 33 yard, touchdowns after. 328 yards on 34 carries for
a total of 5 touchdowns.
Justin Carwile - Safety - Chantilly, Interception for a touchdown and a couple
of tackles.
Brandon Hogan - Quarterback - Osbourn, Threw for 5 touchdowns and rushed for
another, 14 rushes for 141 yards and, 14 of 18 passing for 262 yards and 5
touchdowns.
Derek Geary - Middle Linebacker - Madison, 18 solo tackles
Brendan Ginley - Strong Safety- Madison, Blocked a PAT and had 14 tackles.
