Update: Brandon Ore - VT Commitment

Brandon Ore RB, 6’2” 195 LBS
This young man has left the guessing and waiting game for others to play. He has

taken his ball and headed for Blacksburg where he will be joining Coach Frank
Beamer and a catalog list of Eastern Region
stars that have set up a gravy train to VA Tech. No bench time is on the mind of this Indian River High speedster, “There has not
been any talk of red-shirting, and it is all on me depending upon how I perform at camp.” SOPH TB
Cedrick Humes is returning and Kevin Jones is headed for greener pastures. Playing time may not be out the question for Ore. Mike Imoh has been playing
wide receiver but is also listed as a tailback and then there is the George Bell Factor. Bell, 5’11” 230LBS, played at
Jack Britt High School, a member of the MidSoutheastern Conference located in Fayetteville, NC. As
of November he was still sidelined with a knee injury but by all accounts has a verbal agreement as of October 22 to attend VA TECH. Judging by the
physical statistics; these two freshmen will offer Hokie opponents two entirely different concerns; speed vs. power. The Hokies are returning 4 other tailbacks to
the line up next year. Ore stated, “I had my mind set but I did take visits to
UVA and UNC.” Ore added, “I was not going anywhere that I did not feel comfortable and I was very comfortable with the coaching staff at VA TECH,
as well, I have many friends already there.” Ore plans on majoring in Business while at VA TECH. He will also be running very fast. Radar and past
opponents have clocked him running the 40 in 4.4 seconds. Says Ore, “It is a very exciting time.” Ore has since joined the Indian River Basketball Team.
