South Lakes Seahawks had their first home game since their loss to rival
Herndon, and the Seahawks were not going to start the season off with two
straight home losses.  Ryan Scott led
South
Lakes
with 25 points and 4 steals, and Chris Holmes had 8 points, 7 assists, and 9
rebounds, which proved to be too much for the visiting Fairfax Rebels.

The game started off slowly, with Keith Wagner scoring the first five
points for the Seahawks.  Ryan Scott
had four points, and the first quarter ended with the Seahawks up 21-15.

The second quarter was a quarter full of may three point shots attempted,
and a very ugly start.  The Seahawks
then strung together a 3 pointer by Carlos Guice and a 15-foot jump shot by Ryan
Scott, which forced the Rebels to use a time out.
The second quarter ended with the score 33-25 in favor of the Seahawks.

The third quarter proved to be one of the scariest moments for Seahawks
fans this season, as Ryan Scott got a steal and raced down court to attempt a
dunk.  Scott missed the dunk, but was
fouled, and hit the ground very hard.  The
crowd went silent for the minute he was down, but he was able to stand up under
his own power.  Dennis Lee hit both
free throws for the injured Scott.  The
third quarter ended with the Seahawks leading 54-38.

  Aaron Bowls scored five of
his nine points in the first quarter.  Ryan
Scott re-entered the game after getting fouled hard in the third quarter, and
scored two points to give him a team high 25 points.
The starters were all taken out with about three minutes left in the
game, and the Seahawks got the victory, 72-47.
