Oscar Smith Holds On

Oscar Smith scored runs in the first three innings and held on to defeat the Kecoughtan Warriors 6-5. The Warriors had the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning but Tadd Ennis struckout Dillon Roberts to end the game.

The Tigers were in cruise control early jumping out to a 6-0 lead 6-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth. Senior Nate Matheson ended the shutout by leading off the inning with a homerun to center. Matheson then keyed a 4-run rally in the seventh with his second homerun; a 3-run blast to right field that cut the lead to 6-4. Matheson finished the evening 4 for 4 with four RBI. Robbie Edwards followed Matheson's homer with a double and Dylan Wells walked to put the winning run on 1st base. Ennis ended the threat with a strikeout.

Ennis finished with eight strikeouts while allowing four earned runs. He allowed nine hits and walked two batters. Daniel Quan, Mitchell Grawey, and Tyler Ennis all had multi hit games. Grawey had a 1st inning double that drove in the games first run. Sergio Quinones and Andrew Poirer also drove in runs.
