Nansemond River Starts Hot
Nansemond River is off to a fast start with two wins over former Southeastern District foes.
Trevor Riggs hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to help Nansemond River defeat Great Bridge 5-2 for their first win.
Riggs, who has comitted to play baseball at Radford University, added two hits and picked up the win in a 4-3 victory over Grassfield in extra innings. The Warriors trailed 3-0 heading into the 5th inning.
