Moss, a 6-foot-4, 280 pound offensive lineman from Chancellor High School
(Fredericksburg) is slated to play either center or guard for the Cavaliers.
Ranked the
#4 prospect in the state by VirginiaPreps.com, Moss is the second top
in-state prospect to commit to Virginia, joining Bayside defensive back Quin Blanding, who committed to the Cavaliers earlier.
Moss told the
Free Lance Star's Taft Coghill, Jr., that Virginia Coach Mike
London's ability to recruit other talented players did play a role in his
decision:  "I like to be surrounded with players that have the same goal as
me."
Moss's offer list, which numbered over 20 D-I schools included such big time
programs as Florida State, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Carolina as well as the
other in-state D-I programs Old Dominion and Virginia Tech.
Rod Johnson, VirginiaPreps.com's Senior Football Editor had this to say about
Moss:
"The Cougars' star is already being
chased by virtually every big time program in the country and will continue to
see his stardom rise through camp and combine season. Don't be surprised to see
him challenge for one of the top five offensive linemen spots in the nation."
