For the second time in a matter of weeks, Lake Taylor made the haul from Norfolk to square off with a team from the 804. The Titans downed Mills Godwin 33-14 on 10/8 and they scored a 40-34 OT victory over Glen Allen Friday night.

Lake Taylor and Glen Allen wasted no time getting on the board in this one. Tarreon Washington-Jacobs returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown (PAT Good) to give the Titans an early 7-0 lead. The Jaguars responded on their opening drive of the game. Andrew Milwit hit his big tight-end Sean McElwain on a four-yard touchdown pass (PAT Good) to even the game at seven.

Washington-Jacobs went right back to work on Lake Taylor's next drive when he raced 35-yards to the end zone (PAT Good) to put them back on top 14-7. The duo of Milwit and McElwain struck again to tie the game at 14 when Milwit found McElwain all alone across the middle. McElwain then raced 70-yards to the end zone (PAT Good).

Lake Taylor took control of the game in the second quarter. Quarterback Aaron McDaniel called his own number on an 8-yard touchdown run (PAT No Good) to put the Titans back up 20-14. The Titans would extend the lead to 26-14 shortly before the half when Elijah Washington blocked a Jaguars punt which was then returned for a score by Sencere Hawkins (2pt conversion no good).

Both teams exchanged punts to start the second half. Glen Allen began to mount their comeback when Milwit found McElewin on a 14-yard touchdown pass, the duo's third of the night (PAT Good) to trim the lead to 26-21. The Titans fumbled away the ensuing kick-off to give the Jaguars the ball back with excellent field position. Xavier Moss plunged into the endzone from 5-yards out (2pt conversion no good) and the Jaguars were now in the lead 27-26 with 3:27 remaining in the third.

However, Lake Taylor wouldn't go away. Terrion Washington-Jacoubs ripped off another long touchdown run (2pt conversion good) and the Titans were now ahead 34-27. Lake Taylor's lead was short-lived as Xavier Moss returned the favor by adding his own long touchdown run. Moss housed a 70-yard handoff (PAT Good) to knot the game at 34 with 2:00 minutes remaining in the third quarter.

The fourth period of play began with Glen Allen missing a go-ahead field goal attempt. Lake Taylor got the ball and put together a decent drive, eating up a lot of clock and gaining field position. The Jaguars were flagged for roughing the passer, which called back a Don Spurlock interception. Spurlock would break up a Titans pass in the end zone on 4th down to give the Jaguars the ball back late in the period.

The Lake Taylor defense forced a punt and took over deep in Jaguar territory. The Titans attempted a game-winning field goal but came up short and the game headed to overtime.

Aaron McDaniel tossed a touchdown pass to Sencere Hawkins on the second play of overtime (PAT No Good) to give the Titans the 40-34 lead. The Jaguars had an opportunity to tie the game but the Titan's defense recorded a sack on fourth down to end the game.
