– Junior David Jefferson scored 8 of his 16 points on dunks as Lake

Taylor routed Norfolk Collegiate 98-54 in non-district play.

The Titans, who sat the entire

starting line-up in the fourth quarter, were paced by Jefferson who scored 16

points on 8 or 14 shooting, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The Titans never were in danger as they converted 10 three-pointers led

by senior Jonathan Vincent. Vincent

scored a game-high 21 points and dished out 6 assists in only 22 minutes.

The Titans bench did not let up

with scoring from Cenika Turner (11 points, 4 assists, and 3

three-pointers) and Jason Davis (9 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals).

The only committed 12 turnovers while the Oaks gave up 30.

The Oaks leading scorer was

senior Duane Ricks, who scored 20 points, 18 rebounds, and had 7 blocks.

Forward John Treherne and guard Daniel Venezuela both

scored 13 points to nearly score all the points for the Oaks.

The Titans will travel to the

points in the last minute of the fourth quarter to get past #10 Norfolk

Collegiate 61-55 in non-district play.

The Titans, who entered the

game #4 in the South Hampton Roads area battled hard and led the entire game

until the five-minute mark in the fourth quarter.

Jazzmin Walters did her usual scoring with 19 points, 6 assist, and 5

steals. Tanisha McGaughey scored 15

points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assist in 27 minutes.

The surprise was sophomore

Tiffany Church, who started the second half with only two points, scored a

season high 16 points, 4 steals, and 3 three-pointers.

Senior Caromekia Parker ripped down 10 rebounds in the effort to

hold off the Oaks.

The Oaks were led by Katy

Kelly who led all scorers with 31 points, 5 or 6 from three point land, and

6 rebounds. Jasmine Parker

scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to help the Oaks keep it close.
