Lake Braddock (Burke, Va.) Class of 2021 quarterback Billy Edwards is scheduled to reveal his college choice LIVE on ESPN Radio 94.1 on Tuesday, June 16 during the 6 PM EST hour with Matthew Hatfield during The 757 at 6. He will become the first student-athlete to make a college commitment on the program.

Rated a three-star prospect by Rivals, Edwards accumulated at least 29 scholarship offers to date before narrowing his list down to a Top 5. The finalists include Florida International, Kent State, Miami of Ohio, Old Dominion and William & Mary. He is listed at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds.

As a junior, Edwards completed 60% of his passes (152 of 255) for 2714 yards with 31 touchdowns compared to only six interceptions while also rushing for 450 yards and five touchdowns. His Lake Braddock team finished 10-3 overall in 2019, falling to eventual Class 6 State Champion South County in the Region 6C Championship.

Six athletes have previously announced their college choice on ESPN Radio 94.1 to Hatfield during High School Sports Talk in recent years: Salem’s Trevon Hill (Virginia Tech), Ocean Lakes’ Jahque Alleyne (Virginia Tech), Lake Taylor’s Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey (James Madison), Catholic’s Tahj Capehart (VT) and Noah Knapp (Army), and Green Run basketball player Shawn Sanders (Virginia Union).
