style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'> Chancellor's ascension to one of the
best safeties in the National Football League happened rather quickly.
style='mso-spacerun:yes'>
"Verdana","sans-serif"'>After being drafted in the fifth round at pick #133
overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, Chancellor earned his
way in the rotation as a backup and then took over as a starter in 2011.
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> He took advantage of that opportunity,
earning a trip to the Pro Bowl last season with 102 tackles, four interceptions
and five forced fumbles.
"Verdana","sans-serif"'>A two-sport standout in football and basketball at
Maury High School in Norfolk, VA, Chancellor was a quarterback with the
Commodores. After being recruited to
play QB, he made the move to safety in college at Virginia Tech, where he
excelled as one of the nation's best defensive backs on a defense that is
annually among the leaders in College Football in the major statistical
categories.
"Verdana","sans-serif"'>Recently, I was able to catch up with Chancellor for a
segment on the VirginiaPreps.com Hour on ESPN Radio 94.1 to talk about how life
is in the NFL, his days at Maury and Virginia Tech, and several other topics,
plus some rapid fire questions, too.
