High School Sports Talk Replay - 5-12-18 Show

High School Sports Talk Presented by VirginiaPreps.com airs each and every Saturday from 10 AM EST to Noon on ESPN Radio 94.1, hosted by Matthew Hatfield and Coach Ed Young.

Flying solo with Coach Young on assignment, Matt had some in studio guests throughout the morning.

Matt was joined in the first hour by Franklin native and Hofstra assistant basketball coach Lamar Barrett. Coach Barrett discusses his beginnings in Virginia, how he got into coaching, recruiting, current Hofstra guard Jalen Ray out of Hampton HS and much more while the guys also took phone calls as well.

In the second hour, a trio of Maury Commodores - Head Coach Dyrri McCain (who played at Hampton University), Clemson 4-Star DB commit Sheridan Jones and 4-Star junior WR KeAndre Lambert - appeared in studio.

McCain is in his second at the helm of the Commodores, where he was a 2nd Team All-State wide receiver a decade ago. Jones talked about his new school after spending the past two seasons at Bishop Sullivan. Lambert, who recently picked up his 10th offer from Temple, led Tidewater in receiving as a sophomore and is the nephew of Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor.
