Greenbrier Christian Sweeps a Pair

Greenbrier Christian Academy swept a pair of games in their round-robin tournament. In the second game, the Gators took advantage of an off day from Virginia tech recruit and Steward star pitcher Nic Enlight for a 6-3 win.

Greenbrier Christian Academy trailed Steward 3-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning but rallied with four runs to take the lead. Adam Williams and Michael Cole led off the inning with back-to-back doubles and tied the game on a single by Garrett Wente. Carson Henry doubled to left field scoring both Cole and Wente. A single by Cody Hart made the score 6-3.


Jack Maccagnan pitched six innings for the win and Casey Williams finished off the seventh to earn the save.


Greenbrier Christian Academy first win on the day was much easier as they defeated Lake Taylor 12-2. The Gators invoked the 10 run rule with another 4-run sixth inning. The Gators collected 15 hits with Tyrin Everrette, Colby Lee, Conner Clark, and Hunter Payne all collecting two hits.
Nick McGuire and Blake Robertson both threw three innings each.
