knockout the next opponent this week as the power passing attack of Potomac
hungry Loudoun Valley Viking team is next on the Bulldogs schedule and this
should prove to be a good game for the Homecoming crowd in Ashburn. Broad Run
also plays their Homecoming game in Ashburn so Partlows Store should be
booming.

The Panthers managed to do two things nobody else has been
able to do this year. They held the Bulldogs scoreless in the 1st quarter, and they managed to lead against a Stone
behind this year. Unfortunately for them, after Mike Golino gave Potomac
field goal, Khalil Conte returned the Panther kick-off for an 85-yard touchdown
and Stone Bridge
never trailed after that point. This was Contehs second kickoff return TD this
year. Golino kicked a 30-yard field goal to put the Panthers within 1 and it
looked like a close battle was brewing. Andrew Winslow broke free and rambled
48-yards for a score and Stephen Eaton’s extra point made it 14-6 at the half.
Eaton was 6 for 6 on conversions and has currently kicked 28 in a row, missing
only 1 this season in 44 attempts. Down by 8 at the half the Panthers seemed to
be where they needed to be but a 3 touchdown Bulldog 3rd quarter put the game
out of reach. Landon Gouveia went in twice from the 1 and Andrew Winslow got
his second TD of the night with a 3-yard plunge. Stone
4th when Shamar Knight-Justice scampered 59-yards.
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> The districts leading passer Joe Reilly threw
for 161 yards against a Bulldog defense that had not yielded over 100 yards in
any game prior to this one. Rick Fisher who is also leading the district caught
5 of Reilly’s passes for 115 of the 161 yards. Stone
place Loudoun Valley Vikings on Saturday and Potomac
Heritage.

This proved to be a very exciting game if you like a lot of
scoring. The Vikings scored 6 times in the 1st half and put this one
out of reach by halftime leading 32-0 at the intermission. John Sheehan opened
the scoring with a 35-yard field goal. Tom Schonder went in from 1 and Brock
Bell scored from 4-yards out to make the 1st quarter score 16-0.
Valley scored 3 times in the 2nd quarter to go into intermission
leading 37-0. Thomas Adams scored twice once on a 21-yard pass and once on a
29-yard interception return. Tom Schonder scored his 2nd touchdown
of the game with a 23-yard scamper. John Sheehan converted on all 3 kicks to
end the 1st half scoring. The Titans came out with more focus in the
2nd half and got on the board 3 times.
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Brock Bell
raced 49-yards for his 2nd touchdown of the game, and C.J. Reaves
scored Dominions 1st touchdown with a 25-yard dash to the house to
end the 3rd quarter scoring. Steven Harvey scored the Vikings final
touchdown to start the 4th quarter with a 6-yard run.
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Chris Whipple connected on a 27-yard strike
to Tony Armentaros in the 4th quarter, and then connected with
Jonathan Barton for a 19-yard pass. Tim Caracciolo caught the 2-point
conversion to round out the scoring. The Vikings defense was led by standout
Lawrence Wilson and Cam McWhinney. Dominion leading tacklers included James
Dorn, Tony Holdaway & Tony Armentaros. The Vikings travel to Ashburn on
Saturday to match up against Stone Bridge
on Homecoming and Dominion will travel to Broad Run on Saturday in the Spartans
Homecoming contest.

The Patriots remain 1 game back in the District and looked
impressive shutting down the Heritage Pride. Freshman marvel Deric Dudinski
opened the scoring on the 1st Park
View offensive play of the game with a 25-yard jaunt to give the Pats an early
6-0 lead. Later in the quarter John Laird busted a 31-yard run and Jared
Develli’s extra point made the 1st quarter lead 13-0. David Geiger
caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Steven Blankenship and Develli booted a
42-yard field goal in the 2nd quarter to give Park View a 23-0 lead
at the half. The Pats scored twice in the 3rd quarter to round out
the scoring. Reggie James went in from 15-yards out, and Roscoe Johnson hauled
in a 6-yard reception from Blankenship for the final score of the game. After a
slow start the Patriots are playing as good as any team in the district and
they hope to be able to salvage a playoff season after many had written them
off. Park View hosts the Loudoun County Raiders on Friday, and Heritage will
host Potomac Falls
as Air Panthers make the trip to Leesburg.

Raider Field on Saturday and played the Raiders in their Homecoming day, and
although the weather was gorgeous the score turned out to be ugly for the
Raider faithful, myself included. I was there representing the Class of 77. The
1st quarter was scoreless as both teams exchanged punts. The Raiders
recovered a fumble on the Spartans 37-yard line and with a personal foul tacked
on, looked like they were on their way to the games first score. An Abe Jebeile
22-yard field goal attempt was wide and the quarter ended scoreless. The
Spartans size seemed to be one of the key factors in the ground game, and
Michael Coleman went in from 10 yards out with

Spartans on the board. David Heenan who was perfect on the day (4-4) added the
extra point and the Spartans headed to the locker room with a slim 7-0 lead.
The 3rd quarter started off the same as earlier with both teams
punting the ball away and with each team committing turnovers. The game’s
momentum took a final Spartan swing when Michael Coleman scored his 2nd
touchdown of the day, breaking several tackles en route to a 61-yard touchdown

in the quarter. The aggressive line play of the Spartans took its toll on the
smaller Raiders and Broad Run started moving the ball with more regularity.

the game out of reach at 21-0. The Raiders had lost starting quarterback
Derrick Kernus earlier as he left Raider Field with trainer Chris Furr in a
golf cart. The status for Kernus in Friday’s game at Park View is questionable.
Grant Bell took over at the helm and moved the Raiders down field for their only
score with Gil Veney going in from 8-yards out and plowing in to the end zone
backwards. Jebeile kicked the extra point and the score stood 21-7 with

but Coleman was the games leading rusher with 182 yards and Andrew Lawlor had
50 yards. The leading rushers for the Raiders were Gil Veney with 37-yards and
Daniel Slack with 33. Broad Run will host Dominion in their Homecoming game on
