Dinwiddie racked up over 400 yards of total offense in their 35-20 victory over district rival Hopewell. The night belonged to Brenton Hilton as he threw for 253 yards and three scores. He also chipped in 61 yards on the ground and an additional score.

The Generals received the opening kickoff and wasted no time marching down the field. Their opening drive was capped off when Hilton found Christian Drumgoole on an eight-yard touchdown strike (PAT Bell) to give Dinwiddie an early 7-0 lead. Hopewell responded right away on their ensuing drive. On their first play from scrimmage, Mason Cumbie hit Elijah Brown on a quick out pass and Brown raced 81 yards down the Blue Devil sideline for the touchdown (PAT Cumbie).

Dinwiddie took over the game at this point. Hilton connected with Khalil Hazelwood and Daniel Campbell on touchdown passes of 43 and 63 yards respectively (PAT'S BELL) to extended the lead to 21-7 with 10:39 remaining in the first half. The Generals added another score to go up 28-7 when running back Taylor Veney scampered 14 yards to the end zone (PAT BELL).

The Blue Devils remained in the fight when Kesean Henderson plowed into the end zone on a one-yard score right before halftime (PAT NO GOOD) to trim the score to 28-13.

Hopewell's Kevin Hicks had a 70-yard kickoff return to give his team excellent field position to begin the second half, but the Blue Devils could not convert and were forced to punt. Both teams would exchange punts for most of the third quarter.

Hilton would end the scoring drought when he called his own number and scored on an 18-yard run (PAT BELL) to extend Dinwiddie's lead to 35-13 with 1:21 left in the third period.

Hopewell added one final score with 5:24 remaining in the contest when Cumbie found Rico Thomas on a 27-yard touchdown pass (PAT CUMBIE).
