Blackman Leads Hit Parade

University of Virginia football commit Cole Blackman led a 15-hit barrage to help Atlee out-slug Patrick Henry 10-6.

Blackman had a homerun while driving in four runs with two hits. He singled in the 1st inning driving in a run and blasted a 2-run shot in the 6th inning to put Atlee up 8-2. He also drove in a run after grounding out in the 4th inning.

Blackman wasn't the only Raider with a hot bat. Nabeel Gootee finished with four hits while Andrew Foster collected three singles. Both players scored two runs each. Tyler Blaum and Adam Jewell also had two hits each.

Rob Whitifield completed five innings allowing four earned runs and seven hits to earn the win. Henry Moore relieved him with no outs in the 6th inning and struck out two batters to end the threat.

Kendall Stanley had a big day at the plate for Patrick Henry finishing with three RBI on two hits including a homerun and a double. William Strong and Hunter Hart also had two hits.
