Williamsburg Christian Academy left little doubt about the direction of their basketball program with a signature win over traditional power Benedictine 49-43. The Eagles were led by Old Dominion recruit Xavier Green who scored 13 points while adding nine rebounds.

Senior Cle'von Greene added 11 points and five steals. His coast-to-coast layup, with 2:20 remaining, gave the Eagles a 43-37 lead with less than 2:20 remaining in the 4th quarter.

However, 3-pointers by Aaron Fowlkes and DeAndre Thomas tied the game for the Cadets at 43 apiece with a 1:26 to go.

Greene drove the lane and was fouled while converting a layup and his free throw put Williamsburg Christian ahead by three 46-43. Greene was 5 of 12 from the field. Michael Duncan had 9 points and 4 rebounds while Rashawn Cook had 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Benedictine had several chances to tie the game in the final minute but they weren't able to convert. Cutch Ellis led the Cadets with 11 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out. Fowlkes finished with seven points while Gibson Jimerson and John Salley both finished with six points.
