Julius L. Chambers High School made the trek from Charlotte, NC to Eastern Henrico Saturday night and spoiled the home opening of the Springers new stadium. The Cougars capitalized on three big plays and a field goal to come away with the 24-13 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Alim Foster-Powell blocked a Chambers punt after the Cougars went three and out on their first drive. However, the Springers could not turn the momentum into points and were stopped on 4th and 1 inside their own 10-yard line.

Dymere Edwards wasted no time in finding Daniel Davis who took an 88-yard screen pass down the sideline for the games opening score (PAT-Benitez).
