Coaches gathered at Heritage High School in Newport News on Sunday for the selection of the 2016 4A-East All-Region Football Teams.
The Dinwiddie Generals, who won the 4A-East Region title, were well-represented with Player of the Year recipients on both sides of the ball, plus saw Billy Mills earn Coach of the Year honors.
Tye Freeland, the Generals' multi-purpose playmaker on the offensive side of the ball, was awarded the Offensive Player of the Year award. K'Vaughan Pope, who recently moved up into the Rivals 100 for the Class of 2018, was selected as Defensive Player of the Year for 4A-East.
