3-Star Virginia Beach DE Burke Makes the Call

Bishop Sullivan three-star defensive end Dante Burke announced his commitment on Thursday to play his College Football in the American Athletic Conference for the Temple Owls and new Head Coach Geoff Collins.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end out of Virginia Beach (VA) chose Temple over Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Florida International, Georgia Tech, James Madison, Marshall, Maryland, Navy, Old Dominion, Rutgers, UCF and UMASS.

In 2016, Burke had 58 tackles, 14 sacks, two fumble recoveries, a pair of forced fumbles and a couple of interceptions in his first season with the Crusaders after transferring over from Ocean Lakes. He returned a fumble 80 yards for a touchdown, plus ran back an interception 75 yards for a touchdown.
