Lafayette finished the regular season with a 9-1 record with their only loss in the season opener against King George. The Rams won the Bay Rivers District Championship with a 49-7 win over Warhill.

In the Region 3A playoffs, Lafayette defeated Colonial Heights before losing to Lake Taylor in the region semi-finals..

Lafayette won the State Championship in the Spring of 2021 and return several players from that team.
