'countdown' is underway! 

A

perfect season in 2008 ended in the Division Six Eastern Region championship

game for the Ocean Lakes Dolphins as they were toppled by eventual champion

Oscar Smith 28-21 after staging a furious fourth quarter comeback. Returning

starters include wide receiver Justin Hunter (LSU commit, pictured

right), quarterback Lafonte Thourogood, perhaps the state's top signal

caller from the 2011 class, and linemen Wes Moulton (DI offers) and

Josh Mann give Coach Chris Scott, in his second year, a chance to expand and

develop his offensive attack. A defense spearheaded by linebacker Matt

Baptiste and Jon Godfrey which allowed only 63 points during the

regular season will be stout again this season. Surviving a Beach District

schedule which could offer a couple of stiff tests should have the hungry

Dolphins prepared for what may be an eventual regional championship rematch with

Oscar Smith where they will seek revenge.
