Junior Varsity: In only one season at JV, Brooke
Shepherd breaks both
the career and single season scoring records for Virginia High Schools JV.
She accomplished this being an 8th Grader, the youngest, and despite being
doubled, tripled, triangle and two'd and box--in-one'd in almost every game,
from beginning to end. Brooke averaged around 20 PPG, 11 rebounds and 2
blocks and 2 steals a game. Brooke will be starting for Virginia High's
Varsity next year.
Has been drawing D1 looks since age 11.
Tabbed as " the best player in Virginia by many coaches.
Touted as "the top Post prospect in the Nation".
Selected to the Bryan Adrian Ten Star All Star All American Team in June
2001, where she dominated even with boys
Averaged 20 points in 11-u Nationals and led her team to 5 wins.
Led her team to a 1st place gold medal win in the Commonwealth State Games.
Played with All-Star 15-u team ( as 6th grader)
Led her team in scoring and rebounding for two years, Roanoke Stars 11-u &
12U
Selected to the First Team All State in YBOA
Selected to the First Team All-Region in YBOA
Defeated the North Carolina State Champions-the WNC Lady Royals- she had 30
points and over 20 rebounds with a 52-48 victory in Statesville, NC
Played in over 107 games in her 2000-2001 season
Led her City League Team in scoring and rebounding all 3 years she played
Several AAU MVP titles
Dominated in all camps attended-Several MVP titles
Practices all season with the high school varsity team and competes very
well (since 5th grade)
Weight lifts 3 times per week with her high school varsity team ( 2nd year
doing so)
