Class of 2012 Hoops Prospects: Revised Rankings!
The Boy's Basketball Class of 2012 has some unique flavor to it filled with
some prominent perimeter players. In fact, eight of the top 18 ranked players
for 2012 are wings. At the top of the list is Miller School swingman
Andrew White, who holds upwards of 20 scholarship offers, highlighted by such
schools as Miami (FL), Utah, BYU, Virginia Tech and South Florida.
Three of the Top Ten are headed to the Big East in Kecoughtan sharp shooter
Joshua Fortune (Providence), athletic Maury wing
Jamal Ferguson (Marquette) and Miller big man
Brandon Bolden (Georgetown), while two
more have already committed to the ACC with Fredericksburg Christian guard
Seth Allen (Maryland) and Roanoke Catholic center
Andre Washington (Wake Forest).
Off their Final Four appearance last April, VCU has gotten a quick jump on the
2012 class in the state with early commitments from Middleburg Academy forward
Mo Alie-Cox and Benedictine swingman
Jordan Burgess, whose older
brother Brad stars for the Rams. Both Alie-Cox and Burgess are ranked among the
top 15.
