season on a roll. Entering the regional tournament as a 4 seed, and opened

Saxons faced a strong Robinson team where they prevailed 8-3. In the Semi

weren't able to hold off the Stallions (3-1).
For the third time in Coach Ferrell's tenure the Saxon's made it to the semi

School history.
The

and Brian Wills (Furman). The Saxon
baseball family wishes these men good luck in the future. Their leadership will
be missed.

This year the Saxons will be traveling to Orlando, Florida for the
Orlando National baseball tournament. The
games will be played at Tinker field, which is the former spring home to the
Minnesota Twins. This will be a good test in preparation for the tough
Liberty District. The district looks to be strong again this year.
Each school in the
Liberty
district is bringing back a core of talented ballplayers which will make for a
competitive and exciting season. The Saxons have a good mix of experience
and youth which adds for depth and competition at all positions. The
Saxons look to build on last year's success and have set high team goals.
They understand that reaching those goals will require consistency, team
chemistry, hard work, and focus. This is a special group of young men; the
outlook for the 2008 Saxons is positive.
