A balanced offensive attack and sound defense did the trick for the Colonels, who repeated as State Champs by beating previously top-ranked Radford, 49-44 in the 1A title game.
Unable to claim their fourth state title since 2009, the Bobcats got a star individual performance from Class of 2015 talent Nate Jones with 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting and 10 rebounds in a 49-44 loss to Altavista in the 1A State Championship.
One year after finishing 6-16 overall, the Maroon Tide made it back to the State Final Four for the third time in four seasons behind the superb play of junior guard Cliff Conley, who scored 21 points in their 54-41 season-ending loss to Altavista.

Coach Jake Mintz guided the Cougars into the State Tournament for the sixth time in 10 seasons, and in the Final Four round they were ousted by Radford, 68-53.
Senior guard Ryan Milgrim and junior forward Matt Green combined for 28 points, 13 in the fourth quarter, as the Spartans were clipped 50-46 by Galax in the regional semifinals.

One year after making the Group A D-1 State Championship game, the Pointers won 18 of their first 20 contests before falling to Mathews in the Conference 42 Tournament Championship and Surry in the regional quarterfinals.
Champions of the Conference 47 Tournament, the Tigers opened regional play with a 60-41 win over J.I. Burton and then got eliminated in the semifinals by Radford, 75-44.
The Tigers played in the closest game of the entire 1A-West or 1A-East Region Tournament, but came up just short against Eastside, 69-66.

After winning the Conference 43 Tournament and beat Parry McCluer 56-47 in the opening round of regional play, the Eagles were eliminated by Altavista in the semifinals, 81-49.

With senior guard Montie Gould, who scored over 1000 points in his career, leading the way, the Drifters earned the #2 seed from Conference 43 for regionals, ultimately running into an excellent Altavista team that beat them 72-43 in the quarterfinals.
