Benedictine Capital City Classic Brackets

Benedictine vs McDonough
The host school Benedictine features the top prospect in the tournament with Indiana University recruit Robert Johnson headlining the Rivals.com star recruit. Johnson is averaging over 27 points per game and he was the BCCC 2012 MVP. Johnson will need fellow backcourt mates Reid Jacoby and Josh Bailey to step up along with junior C.J Wiggins. Inside, the Cadets feature Clelin Ferrell who has over 20 D1 football offers and 6-foot-8 junior Jackson White who has played well as of late. The Cadets face a rematch of 2012 BCCC championship McDonough High School who they defeated 60-49. Although the Rams are not as strong as they are in Benedictine will seek revenge for the loss the Rams handed the football team. McDonough has size including 6-foot-9 forward Evan Fisher who leads the team in scoring with over 18 points per game. The Benedictine-McDonough game will be the final contest on Friday.

Walsingham vs The Haverford School (PA)
The first game of the BCCC will match Walsingham against the Haverford School. Walsingham has started the season with a 6-2 record and they bring a lot of experience to the table with senior guards Miguel Kissoon and Billy Barnes. Senior Braden Sutton is the Trojans inside strength while juniors Kai Brown and Thomas Chisam are returning starters. The Haverford School has plenty of prospects beyond the 2014 class. Junior point guard Levan Alston is the teams best player and the 6-foot-3 point guard just picked up an offer from Boston College of the ACC. He already has offers to Temple, St. Joeseph, LaSalle, and Penn State. Sophomore Lamar Stevens (6-foot-6) is receiving plenty of interest from Villanova while Eric Anderson has committed to Yale.

Trinity Episcopal vs Mount Saint Joseph
Trinity Episcopal will face one of the top teams in the Baltimore area when they meet Mount Saint Joseph. The Gaels have started the season with a 10-2 mark and they boast three committed D1 recruits. Guard Phil Booth is a Rivals 4-Star recruit and is currently ranked as the #85 prospect in the country. He was a Baltimore area 1st team All-Metro selection as a junior and he is headed to Villanova. The Gaels have two other F1 commits in Jorden McNeil who is headed to Towson and Jaylen Adams who has a scholarship to play at Jacksonville. Trinity has two D1 prospects in junior guard Jacob Brown who is the teams top scorer. Guard Abraham Ferrell-Logan is receiving some D1 football looks and Titans big man Austin Williams has offers from Minnesota, Niagara, Quinnipiac, and Radford.

Calvert Hall vs St Albans
Calvert Hall enters the BCCC with an 11-1 record with their only loss coming to BCCC participant Mount Saint Joseph. The Cardinals are led by three juniors.
