Virginian's Ready for Under Armour All-American Game

Several high school players with Virginia connections will spend their New Years Day competing in the Under Armour all-American football game in Orlando Florida.

Benedictine linebacker Ellis Brooks, Episcopal defensive end Luiji Vilain, Bishop Sullivan Catholic running back Khalan Laborn and punter Brian Delaney of Westfield High School were all selected for the All-Star game featuring some of the top high school football players in the 2017 class.

Brooks led Benedictine to back-to-back VISAA state championships while earning All-State honors 3-straight years playing for head coach Greg Lilly. Brooks has over 20 offers including offers from Michigan, Maryland, and South Carolina.

Michigan commit Luiji Vilain is hoping Brooks decides on the Wolverines. A physical marvel, Vilain was a 2-time All-State performer at Episcopal under head coach Panos Voulgaris. The Maroon had a 14-2-1 record during Vilain's two years after arriving from Canada.

Khalan Laborn's future school Florida State defeated Michigan in the Orange Bowl and Khalan will have the opportunity to filled the footsteps of Dalvin Cook who was a Doak Walker Award finalist for the nation's top running back. Laborn rushed for 1495 yards while adding seven touchdowns against some of the toughest competition faced in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Westfield punter Brian Delaney is headed to the University of Virginia. Delaney's leg helped Westfield to back-to-back 6A state championships.


The Under Armour All-American football game will be broadcast live on January 1st starting at 1PM eastern on ESPN.
