Taking a quick look across the country at the recruiting lists of players at the
17U tournament:
Dodson Worthington- Rising
senior 6' 9" post from Kinston HS.....lists Davidson, W & M, Holy Cross, Yale,
Penn, Princeton and College of Charleston.....Davidson and W & M are current
leaders.
Corey Rouse - 6' 7" wing
player had fine tournament in Orlando....East Carolina, Appy St, NC St, College
of Charleston and UVa are schools he is hearing from most...will decide during
season.....offers from ECU and College of Charleston....UVa and NC St are his
current leaders.
Derrick Broom - fine shooting 6' 4"
wing Woodland HS in Georgia.....hearing most from Tenn., Alabama, Notre Dame, Colorado
St, Cent Fla, Appy St.....NC St and Clemson have backed off ......will be a fall
signee.....offers from Tenn. Tech, Furman and Colorado St......Tenn., Ala, ND, Appy
St and Colorado St are his faves.
Tyler Best - Mobile 6'9" forward from
Lafayette Catholic HS in Indiana......Ball St, Ind St, Purdue, E Ky, Tulane,
WVU, Marshall and St Louis are contacting him most and all have offered, in
addition to Dayton.....has made no unofficial visits yet and will start those in
August......is wide open and will decide during early signing period.
Andre Iquodola - talented 6' 7"
forward off winning Illinois Warrior team currently lists 5 schools as his
finalists: Arkansas, Bost Coll, Arizona, Maryland and Kansas.....all have
offered and he has no current leader....will decide during early signing
period.....has qualified.
Juan Wheat - 6' 7" rebounder from
Fayetteville 71st HS in NC.....outstanding student is hearing most from Yale, Stetson, Davidson,
Appy St and Western Carolina.....Yale and Davidson are current leaders.....will
decide early and has qualified.
Charles Bass - another from winning
Illinois Warrior team.....6' 8" high leaping athlete is looking at St
Louis, George Washington, Ohio U, Minnesota and WVU......is wide open.....has
taken unofficials to Minn and Marquette.....Offers from St Louis, Geo Wash, Colorado,
New Mex and Minn.........will sign early.....will narrow list after AAU tourney......
Tom Howland - 6' 11" post sleeper from
Normal West HS in Illinois.......Ball St, No Ill, So Ill, Lamar, East Ill, Ind
St and Ill St are contacting him most....Ball St and Northern Ill are
leaders.....unofficials to Ball St, No Ill, Ind St and So Ill.....offers from
Ball St, No Ill, West Ill and Lamar.....outstanding student is already
qualified...will decide before school season....
Mark Patton - 6' 8" mobile combo
forward from Cabell Midland HS in Huntington WV......hearing most from Marshall,
WVU, Xavier (Oh), Clemson and Miami (Oh).....Marshall, WVU and Xavier are
favorites......offers from Marshall, WVU, Xavier and Miami (Oh).....will decide
before early signing period......already qualified.
Kevin Pittsnogle - 6' 9" post
player from Martinsburg HS who had outstanding tournament and increased
his profile.....fine shooter with excellent range to 3......hearing most from NC
St, WVU, Clemson, Va Tech and Pitt.....current faves are NC St, WVU and
Clemson.....offers from Clemson, WVU, Va Tech and Pitt.....has made unofficial
visits to Clemson, Va tech and WVU.......will decide in next month.
Donte Minter - 6' 8" post
player from West Rowan HS in North Carolina....ECU, Xavier (Oh),Appy St and
Marquette are contacting him most.....is wide open......has not made any
unofficial visits yet.....ECU, Xavier, Appy St and Marquette have all
offered......will decide during early signing period....looking for school close
to home.......
Tyler Berg - 6' 9" post player
from East Gaston HS in North Carolina......hearing from Winthrop, Davidson, Appy
St, Western Carolina and Richmond......wide open.....Wofford has
offered.......Wake Forest, Davidson, Western Carolina and Richmond
lead......might prep after this coming year.
Whit Holcomb-Faye - cerebral point
guard from RJ Reynolds HS in Winston-Salem.....young rising
senior(16).......hearing most from Davidson, UNC-Greensboro, East Carolina
(where brother attends) and American......East Carolina leads....no offers yet
and has unofficially toured ECU.......already qualified and will be early sign.
Rob Hite - very exciting and talented
point guard from Wintonwoods HS in Ohio.....hearing from Mich St, Ohio St, Cinn,
Rutgers, Xavier (Oh) and Marquette most.....unofficials to Ohio St, Cinn and
Xavier....no offers yet......already qualified......will sign in fall.......wide
open.
Ray Bristow - quick defensive point
guard from Parkland HS in North Carolina.....hearing from Wake Forest, Appy St,
Furman, Old Dominion and Richmond......has taken unofficial visit to Appy
St.....no offers yet.......will decide at end of school year........Richmond and
Old Dominion lead.
Kellen Easley - very under-rated
combo forward from Joliet Township HS in Illinois.....6' 8" player is
hearing from Minn, Ill, Ball St, No Ill, Bowling Green and Ill St......is wide
open.......no unofficial visits yet...will start taking after AAU
tournament.....offers from Western Ill, Wisc-GB, Ill St and Northern
Ill.......will decide during early signing period.....
Mike Kinsella - huge 6' 11" post
player from Minnesota......hearing most from NC St, Illinois,Ind St, Toledo,
Northern Iowa and Richmond......has offers from Ind St, Richmond, Toledo and
Northern Iowa.....is wide open....already qualified......excellent
student......will make an early decision.
