There was certainly a time where a 757 prospect receiving an offer from Virginia Tech this early would be a lock. While the Hokies immediately become the favorite, the competition in the Tidewater is too strong from the likes of Florida State and even Maryland to make grand proclamations when Mitchell is still a freshman in high school. Look for VT to prioritize having him visit early and often to build an insurmountable lead.
