Hanover Keeps Winning

Grey Lyttle threw five innings to get the win and junior Cayman Richardson had two hits and drove in two runs as the Hanover Hawks won their tenth game this year with an 8-1 win over Patrick Henry. Trevor Denton added two hits for the Hawks who out-hit the Patriots 10 to 5.

Hanover scored all their runs in the middle innings. Elliott Sledd tripled to left to score Denton for the first run and Sledd would score minutes later on a sacrifice by Jakob Pridemore. Denton added two more runs with a single to left field in the bottom of third inning to give the Hanover a 4-0 lead.

The Hawks doubled their total with a big fourth inning to put the game away. Richardson sent a screamer down the left field line scoring Taylor McDougal and Josh Sheppard. John Gregory sent Richardson home with a single for an 8-1 margin.

Lyttle allowed five hits and one earned run while striking out six. Denton and Hayden Moore both threw one scoreless inning each.
