Kim Black -- Photographer -- Kim has been photographing since 2006 and joined the VirginiaPreps.com staff four years ago., focusing primarily on high school sports and events including the VHSL football state championships, though she recently began photographing college events as well. She has been published in USLacrosse, Wrestling USA and Teampenning USA and several Eastern Region schools use her shots for their football programs and websites. Kim has also covered the NCAA Div. II and III lacrosse championships as well as the MLL title games. She is available for limited senior and family portrait sessions as well as for special events. Rob Blakey -- Senior Editor, Boys Basketball -- Robert has had a life long passion for boys basketball in the Commonwealth and regularly sees upwards of 80 high school basketball games each season. He concentrates his coverage on the Single A and Double A classifications, and during the season provides weekly team rankings, and adds his personal observations on the sites basketball messageboards.
Robert Edmonds -- Staff Writer -- Recently joining the Virginiapreps.com staff in 2013, Robert has covered high school athletics in Virginia since 2006. He primarily worked in the Northern Shenandoah Valley until the beginning of this year when he moved to Charlottesville, VA. Now a contributor to the Daily Progress, his focus has extended into Central Virginia. High school sports that he has followed and reported on cover nearly the entire scope of athletics with some exceptions. Matthew Hatfield -- Senior Editor, Eastern Region -- Matthew Hatfield has covered Eastern Region Basketball & Football since 2004 for VirginiaPreps. In addition to his writing responsibilities on site, Matthew serves as an on-air personality on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM as the host of the High School Sports Show presented by VirginiaPreps.com. Matthew also co-hosts the Cox 11 Sports Report television show that airs weekly in the fall and winter, plus pens occasional stories for the Suffolk News Herald. Rod Johnson -- Senior Editor, Football -- Rod joined the VirginiaPreps staff in 2002 when he moved to the Tidewater area from Ohio that year. He began as a staff writer before rising to his current level as the site's statewide football editor where he has been responsible for coverage of recruiting, game recaps, rankings, and general interest stories from around the Commonwealth. Rod can currently be heard every Thursday at 3:25 p.m. as a weekly guest on the Tony Mercurio show on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM. Patrick began writing for VirginiaPreps in 2002 and has headed up VirginiaPreps AA Football coverage for much of that time. He also provides the site's unofficial VHSL ratings and can be found compiling scores on the scoreboard message board most Friday nights during football season.
