Fredericksburg Christian, who just one short year ago ended their undefeated regular season with a demoralizing loss in the State Semi-finals, rebounded to defeat Norfolk Christian 35-0 to advance to the State championship game. The Eagles, who are only playing their fourth year of football, dominated in every phase of the game from the opening kickoff to earn a D3 state title appearance against top seed Virginia Episcopal.
