i am going to be good! proud of my girls who have made it to a place where no other william fleming girls team has made it (AAA that is). few years ago we had a 0-19 team in AA. a couple years after that they made the reginal tournament (AA). then we moved to AAA and blew a couple chances to make the regional tournament. two years ago won the wvd (first dist title since i think 1974) but lost in the first round of regional. now look at the program two years later district champions again and in the state tournament. not only am i proud of the current team that has matured and been dedicated to this season, but to the former players that have set the foundation for the girls program to be successful. like i said before we played potomac i know the girls will give 100% and anything can happen in one game. GO COLONELS!!!

Go Lady Colonels!!!! roanoke & alumni starting to get excited about the girls. its a shame girls basketball just don't get the support as boys. most girls game i see harder play then the boys game.

You are right you have a great team, just think you are one year early compare to Woodside. Woodside has what Potomac has but with better overall athletes in the starting line up. You guys are scrappy and will cause them some problems.

Lavoy12 this year is the year Fleming will be in the State Championship game, these girls are hungry and want respect, for them to not have a girl make first team all region it explains why they are the best team, ppl from all around the State calling them Cinderella makes them motivated with a capital M to show and prove that they belong, its been a long time coming and they are not ready for their season to end Colonels all the way, They want more respect

You suppose to think your team is going to win the state championship. I don't think I disrespect your girls, I said they are a great team, if you read my comments, my preseason number 1 team next year is WF in the Northwest Region. As for this year Woodside has a great team, as good as Potomac. However, I would be glad if you upset Woodside since you are from the Northwest Region. My job here is to predict who is going to win and after seeing both teams I think Woodside is ready to make a big run to the state finals.

I don't think anyone is disrespecting William Fleming. I think everyone agrees that when you make the state quarterfinals especially in AAA you are a very good team. Duece33 gives the WVD a hard time, but he loves Potomac just like the Colonel fans love Fleming. I do agree with Lavoy12 that there is a maturation you go through when going for a title, but there have been exceptions when a team just clicks at the right time. Being from SWVA I am pulling for Fleming. But more than that I hope/pray for great games and all the players come away injury free.
