First Team All-State

Bonae Holston, Heritage, Senior 5-foot-11, Forward

Holston scored 15 points and pulled down 16 rebounds for the Lady Canes, in their win over Forest Park in the Group AAA State Championship game. Holston, signed with N.C. State.

Lynetta Kizer, Potomac, Senior, 6-foot-3, Forward

The 6-foot-3 Kizer is a McDonald's All-American and a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American. In high school, she averaged 20.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.5 assists and 2 steals per game as a senior. Her play propelled Potomac to a 15-10 record and a postseason appearance in the Virginia Group AAA Northwest Region Tournament. Kizer signed with Maryland.

Chay Shegog, Brooke Point, 6-foot-5, Senior, Forward

The 6-5 McDonald's All-American and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American, Shegog averaged 20.5 points, 9.2 blocks and 15 rebounds for Brooke Point. She will attend UNC to play basketball.

Tierra Ruffin-Pratt, T.C. Williams, Junior, 5-foot-11, Guard

The 6-foot star's left shoulder popped out of place with 34.6 seconds remaining in the third quarter, of the Patriot District Championship game against West Springfield, cost the Titans a chance of returning to the Group AAA State Tournament. The Titans were 22-0 before the injury sidelined Ruffin-Pratt. Pratt averaged 26 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists per game.

Sonia Johnson, Heritage, Senior, 5-foot-10, Forward

Johnson scored 19 points in beating Forest Park 50-29 in the VHSL Group AAA girls' state championship game. She averaged 17.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, leading her team to the Group AAA State Champion and a 30 win season. Johnson signed with Delaware State.

Danni Jackson, Forest Park, Junior, 5-foot-3, Guard

Jackson led the 25-5 Bruins to the Group AAA State Championship game where they lost to Heritage. The Bruins were also the champion of the Northwest Region.

JoNiqua Guilford, Woodrow Wilson, Senior, 5-foot-11, Guard

A returning All-state performer, Guilford led the Presidents with 21 points per game. As a junior, Guilford led the South Hampton Roads area in scoring with 27 ppg. Guilford signed with ODU.

Raven Harris, Princess Anne, Senior, 5-foot-7, Guard

Harris averaged 19.0 point per game, while leading Princess Anne to the Group AAA State tournament with a perfect 22-0 record. The Cavaliers lost in the semi-finals to Forest Park. Harris signed with American University.

Adria Crawford, Edison, Senior, 6-foot, Forward

Crawford led the Eagles to a National District title and the quarterfinals of the region tournament while averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds. Crawford signed with Georgetown.

Ruthanne Doherty, LC Bird, Junior, 5-11, Forward

Doherty led the Central Region champion, Skyhawks to the Group AAA State Semifinals, while averaging 19 points and 10 rebounds per game.
