February 27, 2008 Ian McNichol from Herndon High School has made his college decision!McNichol, a catcher for Hornets catcher has signed to play for Frederick Community College in 2009. McNichol played his summer league ball in the infield and behind the dish across Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region with the Industrial League's Production Center Iron. In his first year (at 15) in the men's wood bat league, he batted leadoff and batted over 300. A converted shortstop, McNichol was called up to varsity (as a catcher) at Herndon at the end of his freshman year and caught all but two games in the two seasons since. |
